I) The violent crime category was renamed "violence and sexual offences"
2) A new category for "bicycle theft" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
3) A new category for "theft from the person" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
4) Public disorder and weapons were then split into two new categories; "public order" and "possession of weapons"
5) Both "other firearms offences" and "other knives offences" which were in "other crime" were moved into "possession of weapons".

The Economic Policy Centre www.economicpolicycentre.com has made every effort in order to ensure that the data for UkCrimeStats is accurate and up to date. However, we are aware of certain deficiencies in this data which are beyond our control. That's because as a 3rd party developer, we do not collect the data, the Police do who then hand it over to another data company to release to 3rd party developers such as ourselves. Our neighbourhood centres on the coastal market town of Dartmouth and the village of Kingswear, which lies on the opposite bank of the River Dart.
The Kingswear side comprises a large rural area reaching into the outskirts of Brixham. The Dartmouth side of the neighbourhood consists principally of the town centre and residential areas on the hillsides overlooking the town.
Dartmouth Navel College
Dartmouth is also the home of the world renowned Britania Royal Naval College (Pictured below with link). HMS Britania was the first ship used to house young officers at the beginning of 1863, which was moored along with the hulk Hindostan by the riverside off the estate owned by Sir Walter Raleigh.
The present buildings at the college date from 1905 designed by Sir George Aston Webb, who also commissioned Admiralty Arch, London and the East front of Buckingham Palace.
The Marina
The maritime theme continues on the river with three popular marinas; Dart Marina, Darthaven Marina and Noss Marina, which draw mariners from around the world and the occasional luxury liner.
There is a good variety of businesses within the town, which cater for the fluctuating tourist population throughout the year.
The neighbourhood has a relatively low level of crime. I cannot say that it is crime free, but it is certainly one of the country’s safest areas to live in.
