From May 2013, the following changes were made to the crime categories:
I) The violent crime category was renamed "violence and sexual offences"
2) A new category for "bicycle theft" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
3) A new category for "theft from the person" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
4) Public disorder and weapons were then split into two new categories; "public order" and "possession of weapons"
5) Both "other firearms offences" and "other knives offences" which were in "other crime" were moved into "possession of weapons".

Waterlooville South neighbourhoods policing team covers Purbrook, Widley,Stakes, Springwood & Crookhorn. The team is made up of Sergeant Stephen Phillips, PC Andy McEwan, PC Terry Burke, PCSO Lee Haywood, PCSO Carl Boxall PCSO John Petroulas and PCSO Jemma Burbury



The neighbourhood now enjoys very low crime levels and has seen a huge reduction in crime over the last two years. The police officers target crime and anti-social behaviour problems, while the PCSOs concentrate on providing reassurance visits, community engagement and tackling anti-social behaviour. We all aim to provide highly visible policing to suit the needs of the community.



Waterlooville South Saferneighbourhoods Team holds beat surgeries periodically ,including monthly on Saturdays (Waterlooville Town Centre) and the dates are advertised on the Hampshire Constabulary website.
