From May 2013, the following changes were made to the crime categories:
I) The violent crime category was renamed "violence and sexual offences"
2) A new category for "bicycle theft" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
3) A new category for "theft from the person" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
4) Public disorder and weapons were then split into two new categories; "public order" and "possession of weapons"
5) Both "other firearms offences" and "other knives offences" which were in "other crime" were moved into "possession of weapons".

Neighbourhood Team

Park Gate, Locks Heath, Sarisbury, Titchfield Common and Warsash areas are policed by the Park Gate West Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team. The team operate from Park Gate Police Station. This team are responsible for dealing with ongoing community policing issues in these areas. It is important you make our team aware of any policing related issues which cause you concern in your area. At regular intervals local policing priorities are set to focus the team's work and your concerns help inform us on what the priorities should be.



In addition to your neighbourhood team there are 24/7 police response teams who also operate from Park Gate Police Station.
