From May 2013, the following changes were made to the crime categories:
I) The violent crime category was renamed "violence and sexual offences"
2) A new category for "bicycle theft" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
3) A new category for "theft from the person" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
4) Public disorder and weapons were then split into two new categories; "public order" and "possession of weapons"
5) Both "other firearms offences" and "other knives offences" which were in "other crime" were moved into "possession of weapons".

Paul Southam and Alison Jones are the Sergeants responsible for the Neighbourhood Policing Team that covers this half of the New Forest. Based at Lyndhurst Police Station the team, consisting of PC 2901 Jason EASTWOOD, PC 20127 Steven NORRIS and PCSO 14495 Richard WILLIAMS are keen to meet with you and help with any problems you might be having in your community. We hold monthly Beat Surgeries and Community Meetings across the area so please see which of them is closest to where you live and if you''d like to meet us please come along. Also, if you have any questions or queries that you would like an immediate answer either phone or email any of us and we will get back to you as soon as we are next on shift.
