From May 2013, the following changes were made to the crime categories:
I) The violent crime category was renamed "violence and sexual offences"
2) A new category for "bicycle theft" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
3) A new category for "theft from the person" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
4) Public disorder and weapons were then split into two new categories; "public order" and "possession of weapons"
5) Both "other firearms offences" and "other knives offences" which were in "other crime" were moved into "possession of weapons".

Welcome to the Camborne North Neighbourhood. The neighbourhood has a population of approximately 7000 residents and has a mixture of residential and commercial premises. The Camborne North patch covers from East Hill at Tuckingmill out as far as Roseland Park and up to the border of Pengegon. Camborne Town centre sits within the Camborne North Neighbourhood and has both a daytime and night time economy with pubs, late night bars and late night refreshment establishments.

The Neighbourhood has a relatively low level of crime when compared to other parts of the country and the population is made up of residents from a cross section of different age ranges, genders and cultures.

The Policing team for Camborne North is made up of PCSOs John Salmon and Linzi Regan and Neighbourhood Beat Managers PC's Geoff Streatfield and James Tompson. The Camborne area has three distinctive neighbourhoods covered by nine team members all supervised by Sergeant Gavin Barnes, the Neighbourhood Team Leader.
