I) The violent crime category was renamed "violence and sexual offences"
2) A new category for "bicycle theft" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
3) A new category for "theft from the person" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
4) Public disorder and weapons were then split into two new categories; "public order" and "possession of weapons"
5) Both "other firearms offences" and "other knives offences" which were in "other crime" were moved into "possession of weapons".

The Lizard Peninsula covers 10 parish's and has a large rural community.

The population increases with visitors during the summer months. The two largest villages are Mullion and St Keverne. Mullion has a comprehensice school with over 500 pupils.

This is a low crime area, and with the assistance and vigilance of residents, visitors and partner agencies we can all play a part in keeping it this way.

Neighbourhood priorities, are set by members of the Public, under 'Have Your Say'  Matters of concern may be highlighted by letter or by contacting either this team or members of the individual Parish Councils.
