The Economic Policy Centre www.economicpolicycentre.com has made every effort in order to ensure that the data for UkCrimeStats is accurate and up to date. However, we are aware of certain deficiencies in this data which are beyond our control. That's because as a 3rd party developer, we do not collect the data, the Police do who then hand it over to another data company to release to 3rd party developers such as ourselves. We only download and analyse it so that you can use it. For full detail of these deficiencies, please read here.

ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR:

Devon and Cornwall Police and Cornwall Council and partner agencies are actively involved in tackling anti social behaviour and it is a priority for all of our staff. Reporting incidents of anti social behaviour may prevent problems happening and will help to make your neighbourhood a safer place.

Anti social behaviour includes a wide range of unacceptable activities such as vandalism, graffiti, speeding, littering, dog fouling, nuisance neighbours and intimidating groups taking over public places in our communities.

If your are experiencing anti social behaviour please contact Cornwall Council's anti social behaviour team on 0800 1234 232 or please email 101@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk or email your local team and if an emergency call 999.

Below are some of the things we have done with the Community Action Hub and other agencies:

Please note that attendance at clubs and events and surgeries can change at very short notice (due to policing needs) so please email us to confirm our attendance at events.

Activeplus:

A new project run by ex forces instructors called Activeplus has been started up on Gwavas Estate for the over 50's. The project has been a success and is looking to expand into other areas. If you are interested please email the team and we will put you in touch. Take a look at their website Activeplus.

Our Projects:

We have a Farmwatch scheme in the Rural West area to deter rural crime and offer crime prevention advice to farms and small holdings. If you are interested please contact the Rural West team using the 'contact' box or call 01736 356222.

We also run a Boatwatch scheme for looking after the security of boats in our area. Please contact us if your interested on 01736 356222.

We are also closely working with the Ymca and the Three villages Youth Project (3VYP) in engaging with the youngsters and bringing sports and educational issues to our area. A recent project we undertook was an anti racism and graffiti project at The Centre in Newlyn. We are looking at starting a project with the local schools and other agencies in the near future focusing on underage drinking in our community.

We are also working with Cornwall Neighbourhood For Change (CN4C) at Gwavas Estate with various projects.

The Community Action Hub (CAH) is the new name for the Gwavas residents association its the same venue as before. Why dont you pop in and have a look and do your bit for your community.

The CommunityAction Hub (CAH)  and residents of Gwavas recently collected items to send to servicemen and women serving overseas. An evening was spent packing the items with the charity Support our soldiers and Gwavas residents. We then delivered the 40 boxes to the Post Office for delivery. We are looking to assist the Gwavas Residents Association and local residents again in Supporting our Soldiers so if you want to help please contact us.

A Police Surgery held with Devon and Cornwall Housing (DCH) will be held informaly at the Community Act Hub (CAH) room from midday on each Tuesday in the month. Please see the meetings link for dates.  We will try to be available but due to operational necessity, we cannot guarantee this. If you need to speak with us please email us on the "Tell us your priorities " link or call our office number on 01736 356222. Please note that this number is not an emergency number and will not always be answered immediately. If you have an emergency, please call 999.
