In September 2011, Other Crime was divided into 6 categories - Drugs, Public Disorder & Weapons (which was later split further and so is not displayed here), Criminal Damage & Arson (CD&A), Theft - Shoplifting, Theft-Other and Other.
From May 2013, the following changes were made to the crime categories:
I) The violent crime category was renamed "violence and sexual offences"
2) A new category for "bicycle theft" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
3) A new category for "theft from the person" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
4) Public disorder and weapons were then split into two new categories; "public order" and "possession of weapons"
5) Both "other firearms offences" and "other knives offences" which were in "other crime" were moved into "possession of weapons".

Your neighbourhood is diverse and makes up a huge residential part of the city of Truro. It is made up of a diverse range of housing types, from estates to Farm Houses. Your neighbourhood stretches from the east of Idless across Moresk Road and along St. Clements Street, bordering the city centre Boscawen Ward. It then runs along the Malpas side of the river Fal to the idylic parish of St Clement, and out as far as the village of Tresillian.
There are two state primary schools, Tregolls and Archbishop Benson and one state secondary School, Penair. As well as Polwhele House School, Pencalennick School and Truro School. We work closely with the schools' and assist with assemblies, fetes and other community events run by the schools'.
Within your neighbourhood lie places of outstanding natural beauty and areas where community spirit is second to none. Thus making working in this area a pleasure.
Your neighbourhood officers patrol your area daily, their duties include, reassurance visits to members of the public who have been unfortunate enough to be a victim of crime, high visibility foot patrol and engaging with the community through face to face surveys and 'Have Your Say' meetings. These meetings allow individuals to tell us their concerns which you can find listed in the Priorities section of this web page.
