From May 2013, the following changes were made to the crime categories:
I) The violent crime category was renamed "violence and sexual offences"
2) A new category for "bicycle theft" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
3) A new category for "theft from the person" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
4) Public disorder and weapons were then split into two new categories; "public order" and "possession of weapons"
5) Both "other firearms offences" and "other knives offences" which were in "other crime" were moved into "possession of weapons".

Neighbourhood Team

The Neighbourhood Policing area for Millbrook & Rame covers the villages of Millbrook, St John, Kingsand/Cawsand, Cremyll, Crafthole, Antony, Wilcove, Hessenford, Narkurs, Deviock, Sheviock, Downderry, Seaton & Portwrinkle . The area has six parishes, Maker with Rame, Antony/Wilcove, Millbrook, St John, Deviock & Sheviock. This equates to a population of approximately 8000.

The Neighbourhood Policing Team comprises of a Neighbourhood Team Leader, a Neighbourhood Beat Manager and a Police Community Support Officer. Our extended Neighbourhood Team also includes the  Special Constabulary, Police Cadets and Community Speedwatch Police Volunteers. Our aim is to focus on community issues and priorities by listening to your concerns and addressing them accordingly. This in turn will enable us to more effectively tackle crime, improve the quality of life and provide reassurance. The team is accessible, visible and accountable for our policing area. The Neighbourhood Policing Team works closely with the six Parish Councils as well as other partner agencies such as Cornwall Council and the Environment Agency.
