The Ivybridge Rural South area is comprised of land to the south of the A38 Devon expressway.

The far edge of the Ivybridge Rural South area is located at Plympton, at the Deep Lane junction. The area skirts down to the coast to encompass the village of Brixton and covers the coastal area from Newton Ferrers to Mothecombe Beach. This area also includes the villages of Holbeton and Yealmpton, Wembury, Fort Bovisand, Down Thomas and Heybrook Bay.

Crime in Ivybridge Rural South is low compared to the national average.

Following our ongoing consultation with the public over the past 12 months, our policing priorities for the future year are likely to include identification and reduction in marine crime in the Yealm Estuary, Rural Crimes including Metal Thefts which will be assisted by farmwatch. We also intend to tackle traffic and parking issues.

We are also visiting local primary schools in the area to educate youngsters in road saftey issues.
