The Economic Policy Centre www.economicpolicycentre.com has made every effort in order to ensure that the data for UkCrimeStats is accurate and up to date. However, we are aware of certain deficiencies in this data which are beyond our control. That's because as a 3rd party developer, we do not collect the data, the Police do who then hand it over to another data company to release to 3rd party developers such as ourselves. We only download and analyse it so that you can use it. For full detail of these deficiencies, please read here.
Beacon Heath is also referred to as Mincinglake. Following recent City Council ward boundary changes, it is now part of the Mincinglake & Whipton ward. The area has a mixture of communities throughout the ward and a variety of housing types from council flats to private detached properties.
There are two schools, Willowbrook primary and St James’ secondary. Local Officers regularly patrol outside the schools in Summer Lane and also Beacon Lane between 8am and 9am and 3pm and 4pm.
The area has three public houses, a small number of shops and several park areas such as Lancelot Road Multi Use Games Area and Bettysmead Playing Fields.
Mincinglake is a safe place to live and work. It does not suffer from incidents of serious crime. The main policing problems are spontaneous incidents of vandalism and antisocial behaviour that is frequently associated with young people consuming alcohol or other substances, particularly at the weekends.
