The Economic Policy Centre www.economicpolicycentre.com has made every effort in order to ensure that the data for UkCrimeStats is accurate and up to date. However, we are aware of certain deficiencies in this data which are beyond our control. That's because as a 3rd party developer, we do not collect the data, the Police do who then hand it over to another data company to release to 3rd party developers such as ourselves. We only download and analyse it so that you can use it. For full detail of these deficiencies, please read here.
Braunton Rural Neighbourhood covers the Parishes of Georgeham, Ashford and Marwood. It is a large Rural area with a large section of coast stretching from the River Taw at Crow point in the East, through Croyde bay to Putsborough in the North. Inland it covers from West Down through Muddiford stopping just short of Pilton in Barnstaple. The area is a popular tourist destination particularly for surfers, walkers and campers the population increases ten fold in the summer. It is a beautiful part of the country with some fine views, rugged coastline and the famous Braunton Burrows. The Neighbourhood also has a large farming community both on the coast and inland. Crime and the fear of crime is very low overall but increases during the summer holidays due to opportunist type thefts occurring. There are two Primary/Junior schools on the neighbourhood one at Georgeham and the other in Marwood, both having excellent OFSTED results. Currently Pcso Dale Kingdon is covering the area from Braunton Police station.
