Did you know that North Devon is one of the Safest Places to live in the UK?

Reported crime is down, detections are up and a growing number of people are satisfied that the police are dealing effectively with anti social behaviour.

However...

DON'T ADVERTISE YOUR HOME TO BURGLARS!

A third of burglars enter premises through an open door or window!

General Information about the area

The Combe Martin area is comprised of three beats – Berrynarbor, Combe Martin and East Down – and their respective hamlets. This provides a unique policing environment, with each particular beat having its own policing and community needs.

Some areas are very isolated within the national park of Exmoor, whereas others are situated in a more urban environment. All require a tailor-made partnership approach when dealing with the locally relevant issues. These can vary from acts of criminal damage to cattle rustling.

Devon & Cornwall Police has a dedicated team of officers and PCSOs to cater for the neighbourhood’s needs, providing support and reassurance to its communities.

By the use of community contact, partnership agencies and other voluntary bodies, Devon & Cornwall Police strives to provide the best possible service to the Combe Martin area by engaging with the people who live and work in this outstanding area of England.
