Is conviction and maybe arrest data going to be released?

That might be one interpretation of David Cameron’s piece in the Daily Telegraph yesterday who said;

You’ll be able to see not just what crimes have been committed on your street, but what action the police have taken

Presumably this data will be released to 3rd party developers like ourselves. But it would be helpful to have an open discussion between developers and the Home Office about how to do this in a way that is consistent and historically compatible with the existing data.

I’d also be curious to know for example,

Will conviction and arrest data be tied to individual street crimes?

Will they be tied to a new location on a map?

How do you account for the time elapsed between the 2 events – i.e. the crime and the conviction/arrest given that it is only datestamped by month and year

Or will they just be assigned to the neighbourhood?
