A month ago I wrote to Sussex Police to ask them when we could have this data as it makes Force comparison incomplete. They wrote back on the 25th October to say that when police.uk went live they were in the middle of changing the neighbourhood structures and so had no useful geography to work on at that time. The data is promised but I note that It didn’t come through for the September update which was released at the end of last month (after their email). But it should be coming through for the next month.
Update – I may have unintentionally misinterpreted what Sussex conveyed to me originally. It seems that the functionality to upload the missing data will not be available until this November. If it is live and available, Sussex will be uploading the missing data if the functionality is there so that it goes through for the October update (which will go live from about the 25th November).
At last, this has now been fixed after a great deal of prompting from ourselves – UKCrimeStats, of Sussex Police, the NPIA and RKH. The corrected files have been uploaded to Police.uk with the November 2011 update and we have downloaded and uploaded them to UKCrimeStats. We have asked the NPIA to reward us for our efforts here – seems reasonable as everyone gains from this and we have pursued this matter at our own expense.
