Eggbuckland has a population of approximately 6,000. It is mainly residential, with Eggbuckland Community College and several feeder primary schools located in the area.

Much of the policing in Eggbuckland is centred around antisocial behaviour by some young people who can cause a nuisance to the community.

The Eggbuckland neighbourhood team currently consists of PC Esther Tucker and PCSO Neil Macrae. The neighbourhood is supervised by Sergeant Lesley Bulley based at Crownhill police station.

Eggbuckland is a safe place to live with the likelihood of being a victim of crime falling well below the national average. There are however issues in relation to the fear of crime which is often determined by differing views about what is acceptable behaviour.

A close working partnership is continuing with the police linking up with housing, councillors and other relevant professionals to keep your community safe.
